Our Story

John and I met at Cheddars Restaurant where we both worked.  I was 18 and he was 23 when we began dating.  We dated throughout college and then got married in 1991.  Through our 30-year marriage we grew together as people, as Christians, and as parents.  We have two beautiful daughters who bring us much joy.  As an active family we have rappelled in Utah, hiked in Arizona, dog sledded and river rafted in Colorado, snow skied in New Mexico, whale watched in Iceland, surfed in Dominican Republic, and zip-lined in Canada.  We loved to play and be adventurous outside!  John and I enjoyed playing pickleball and mountain biking together.

One Sunday we went mountain biking. The weather was glorious, and we were having a fun time on the trail building our skills, bodies and relationship all at the same time.  Right in the middle of a simply fantastic day, our whole life changed when John had a bike accident that took his life and left me a widow.

I have profound gratitude for my beloved husband who loved me so well. I will eternally carry in my heart the legacy of our love and marriage and will always cherish the life we had together. I am exceedingly grateful for the beautiful impact John made on my life forever.
