However, my life took a devastating turn in 2021 when a mountain bike ride with my beloved husband of 30 years ended in tragedy, leaving me a widow.

As I navigated the gut-wrenching heartache of losing the love of my life, I discovered many treasures along the way. In my debut book, FIELD GUIDE FOR WIDOWS, I share these marvelous treasures that come only to those who have experienced great loss and continue to trust God through it. It’s a road map of healing and hope drawn from the pages of my own journey.

After experiencing my own loss and recognizing the needs of other widows, I started a YouTube channel, Ryane to the Rescue, to empower and educate people in mastering new skills in home, yard, and car management. As a frequent podcast guest, I spread the message of empowerment, hope, healing, and joy to all, especially those who have experienced the deepest grief and loss.

When I'm not writing books or creating YouTube videos, I'm living a life full of adventure and joy. My love for Jesus, travel, and fun times with friends defines me.

If I'm not working, you'll likely find me at church or on the pickleball court.

My careers are just as enjoyable as my leisure time! As an International Tour Manager at youcantstealmyhappy.com, I get to explore exciting countries and embark on thrilling adventures around the globe. I have had the pleasure of experiencing the culture, meeting the people, and treasuring the beauty of 64 countries.

In my other fulfilling career as an exotic animal handler at thecreatureteacher.org, I have the privilege of cuddling with unique and precious creatures from all over the world while conducting educational programs in my local community. I also find joy in volunteering through my church.

During my downtime, I love relaxing at home on my bed swing in my bright and colorful sunroom, with my puppies on my lap, surrounded by flowers and treasures I have curated from my world travels.
